  • AUTO INSURANCE:
Is Arizona State Minimum Coverage Really Enough?

In Arizona, the legal minimum liability coverage required to drive is 25/50/15.

That means your policy may pay up to:

$25,000 for bodily injury per person
$50,000 total for bodily injury per accident
$15,000 for property damage per accident

That may make you legal to drive, but the real question is:

Is it enough to protect you financially if you cause an accident?

If the damages exceed your policy limits, you could still be personally responsible for the remaining balance. That could include vehicle repairs, medical bills, lost wages, legal expenses, or other damages.

Most people do not fully understand what their liability limits mean until they are involved in a claim. By then, it may be too late to make changes.

Let’s review your current coverage, explain what your limits actually protect, and discuss whether higher preferred limits may be a smarter choice for your situation.

Higher liability limits may also help you qualify for better coverage options, stronger financial protection, and access to umbrella insurance.

Don’t wait until after an accident to find out your coverage was not enough.

  • HOME OWNERS INSURANCE:
The primary purpose of homeowners insurance is to help cover the cost to rebuild your home after a covered total loss. It also provides liability protection if you are found responsible for damages or injuries to others.

One common issue we find is that many homeowners have incorrect dwelling coverage limits. Some policies are based on the original loan amount, purchase price, or outdated replacement cost estimates. That can leave you either underinsured or paying for coverage that may not be properly aligned with your actual rebuild cost.

At 110 Insurance Group, we run a proper Replacement Cost Estimator to help determine the appropriate dwelling coverage amount based on current labor and material costs.

But dwelling coverage is only one part of a homeowners policy.

There are many endorsements that can be added to a homeowners insurance policy to help protect against additional risks. Many people assume these coverages are automatically included, but that is not always the case.

When was the last time you had a real conversation with an agent about what your current policy does and does not cover?

If your last agent never reviewed your prior policy, they may not have known which coverages you had before. That means you could have lost important coverage without even realizing it.

A proper home insurance review can help identify missing endorsements, outdated limits, and coverage gaps before a claim happens.

  • UMBRELLA INSURANCE:
Many people have heard of umbrella insurance, but most do not fully understand what it is or whether they need it.

An umbrella policy provides additional liability coverage above your underlying policies, such as auto, home, boat, UTV, or other covered policies. Coverage often starts at $1 million and can increase from there.

Umbrella coverage is designed to step in when the liability limits on your underlying policy have been exhausted. This helps protect you from having to pay the remaining damages, legal costs, or settlements out of pocket.

Many people do not think an umbrella policy is necessary until after an accident happens. For example, if you total a high-end vehicle, cause injuries, or trigger a chain-reaction accident involving multiple vehicles, your auto liability limits may not be enough. If the damages exceed your limits, you could still be financially responsible for the difference.

That is where an umbrella policy can provide serious peace of mind.

The best part is that umbrella insurance is often more affordable than people expect. However, there are usually certain qualifications you must meet before you can purchase one. Many carriers require preferred liability limits on your auto, home, or other underlying policies before they will offer umbrella coverage.

It is also important to talk about this before you have a claim. A recent accident or liability claim could make it harder to qualify for an umbrella policy until that claim has aged, sometimes for two to three years.

Let's schedule a time so we can discuss your unique household concerns/needs

I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU!

What factors affect my auto insurance premium?

Your auto insurance premium is determined by a combination of factors, (including but not limited to) your driving history, the level of coverage you select, the make and model of your vehicle, your location, and even your credit score. The specific details can vary between insurance companies, so it's essential we discuss your unique circumstances to get an accurate quote tailored to your needs.

Do I need to add my teen driver?

Yes, once a teen has passed their driving test, they do need to be added to your insurance policy or your insurance carrier can deny the claim if the teen was found at fault in an accident. If an insurance agent tells you otherwise, ask to get it in writing. I promise, you won't get it! Let's connect to discuss this further.

What happens if I let someone borrow my car, and they have an accident?

If you lend your car to someone NOT listed on your policy and they have an accident, typically your auto insurance policy would be the primary coverage in most cases as long as the person borrowing the car meets the proper criteria. As the rules can be slightly different from carrier to carrier, the general rules will consist of things like, individual does NOT reside in your household, they are the name insured on their own insurance policy, have a valid drivers license, etc. However, it's essential to check your policy and consult with your insurance provider because coverage can vary. Some policies may exclude certain drivers or have restrictions on who can use your vehicle.

What discounts can I qualify for?

Discounts very from carrier to carrier. This is why it is beneficial to work with a broker like myself who can shop multiple carriers to help find the one that offers you the most discounts and best rate for the coverages you need.

If I am cited in an accident, does that mean I am at fault?

No, being cited for not following the rules of the road is in itself its own consequence. It is possible that the party that was not cited actually be found at fault for the accident. As this is not common, it is a possibility based on the accident itself.

How can I lower my auto insurance premium?

This doesn't happen over night, but an agent like myself can help you build what I call an insurance resume that when presented to a carrier when shopping for rates can and will help earn a lower rate being offered. Let's connect so we can discuss this in more detail.

Does bundling my auto and home offer the best discount?

The answer here is YES and NO. Many insurance carriers "bundled" discounts are based on the level of coverage you carry on your auto. Those who elect to carry low liability limits might only receive a small "bundled" discount and those carrying higher liability limits will receive a larger discount, which is more beneficial when looking at your over all cost.
